Conditions under which you must report to the Residential Rental Reporting System

Housing contracted after June 1, 2025
•
The deposit for the house exceeds 60 million won or the monthly rent exceeds 300,000 won
⇒ You must report within 30 days including the contract date.
However, the following cases are not subject to notification
•
School dormitories
•
Military areas (excluding Gyeonggi-do)
What if I don't report?
•
A fine of at least 20,000 won to 300,000 won will be added (100,000 won for false reporting)
Who needs to report?
•
Both landlords and tenants are obligated to report.
•
However, it is OK to report only one → Tenants are recommended!

If your deposit, rent, or contract period changes, you will need to report again.
