 Visa Extension Process

1.
8.22 Offline Visa Extensions Application
▪
Subject: Period of stay has reached, additional semester, and for master's/doctor's thesis
◦
Visa extension for D2-2 → D2-3; D2-3 → D2-4 will be done after paying the tuition, so will be accepted at the end of August.
◦
Those who plan to leave the country during the vacation should register for a visit to the Hirevisa office after entering the country.

Place: Sangmyung University Millennium Hall, B1F, T005
▪
Time: 9:00 ~ 18:00 (12:00 ~ 13:00 Lunch Time)

8.23 ~ 8.26 Documents reviewed by Hirevisa
▪
All requests for guidance and supplementary documents will be by e-mail
▪
There may be a request to visit the Hirevisa office for consultation and submission of additional documents.
3.
8.30 Submision to the Immigration Office
▪
There may be continuous requests for documents due to the return of the immigration office until the permit is issued
4.
Permit issuance will be by September ~ October
•
You can add the date on the back of your alien registration card by visiting the Seoul Immigration Office and Sejong-ro branch office

 Cautions

▪
You must stay in Korea during the administrative agency processing period, and you may not be allowed to leave the country.
Extension of sojourn period

Application Process

1.
Click the APPLY button and follow the process (upload the document).
2.
Hirevisa will send you an email after confirming your application for extension. If you need to supplement it, please look at the contents of the email carefully and supplement it.
3.
Please wait for the email from immigration.
4.
After all procedures are completed, you can receive the confirmation of change of permission by email. * The confirmation file of change of visa has legal effect.
5.
You must bring RC, Certificate of Permission of e-approval after a week you receive this mail and get your new RC from the Immigration you are assigned.(Don't worry, We will send you an email later.)

You don’t need to book in Hikorea.
