Precautions

Mandatory Use of Legitimate Korean Phone Number

1.
Most international students use prepaid SIM cards that are activated through their passports. Since these SIM cards are not registered under the individual's name, additional authentication procedures are required upon the issuance of the RC(ARC).
2.
HireVisa recommends the use of "Official Authentication Supported SIM card". By official authentication, registration under the individual’s name can be done before the issuance of the RC(ARC), effectively preventing potential identity theft and exposure to criminal activities among international students.
3.
Even if the SIM card does not support Official Authentication, it can still be used. However, in this case, the authentication process can only proceed after all procedures for the issuance of the RC(ARC) are completed.

When uploading documents

All documents can only be submitted as scanned files with a scanner or app, not photographed.
If you take unclear pictures, your documents might be rejected by the immigration office. Please submit only scanned files.

1. Residence Documents

You must submit your residence documents for a contract period of 60 days or more from the supplementary deadline. so that you do not have to move during the application period.

2. ID Photo

Photos edited with Photoshop or photos taken by a camera with editing functions are considered forged and cannot be used as ID photos for an RC.
Only original electronic files taken at photo studios are accepted.

4. Certificate of Enrollment

For the convenience of students, the school issues a certificate of Enrollment So, you don’t need to prepare anything for this.

GKS certificate (relevant students only)

GKS Global Korea Scholarship (정부 초청 장학생)
It is not an on-campus scholarship. Only foreign students invited by the Korean government should submit the scholarship certificate.
